Irving and Jack Scott started making rain coats in a basement in Lower East Side Manhattan in 1913. Throughout the 70s and 80s Schott played a major role in the punk rock movement. The Schott leather jacket became the uniform for rock stars like The Ramones, Blondie, Joan Jett, and the Sex Pistols! Schott NYC is still owned by the third and fourth generations of the Schott family, still manufacturing their clothing in the US.
